A little while back, we showed you a new game coming out called Hard Reset. Developed by Flying Wild Hog, a new developer comprised of veterans that worked on Painkiller, The Witcher, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Hard Reset is a single-player FPS that harkens back to classic games, like Painkiller, that is set in a bleak future for humanity. Machines have driven the humans back to a single city, Bezoar, and it is up to your character, Major Fletcher, to fight them and find out the secret behind the terrible conflict. The game uses the Road Hog engine, developed by Flying Wild Hog just for Hard Reset, and the screenshots make it look like we will be in for quite the visual treat. Hard Reset was announced only around the start of July, but now the game has a release date of September 13th. It is a relatively short turnaround time from announcement to launch, but that just means the studio kept it under wraps for the majority of the development. The game will sell for $30 on Steam, though you can save ten percent if you pre-order it.

Hard Reset will be available on September 13th. It is exclusive to the PC, which is rare to see nowadays.

Looks pretty sweet, though we'll see when more gameplay footage comes out. Could just end up piled in with the millions of other generic shooters out there over the past 10 years, though only time will tell.
