Parting from its usual Modus Operandi, Apple has quietly released a new iMac, priced at $999. The new computer features a 21.5 inch screen, a 3.1 GHz dual-core i3 cpu from Intel, as well as an AMD HD 6750m graphics card and a 250GB hard drive. The iMac also carries 2 GB of ram that oddly cannot be upgraded by the end user. While the lower price is a welcome change, don’t get too excited; the new offering from the tech giant was designed for educational institutions, and as such, cannot be purchased by general consumers.
