Comcast Introduces Internet Essentials

Category: Internet
Posted: 07:42PM

In an effort to increase the broadband adoption rate in the United States, as well as bring broadband speeds to more people in low income area, Comcast has just introduced their new Internet Essentials program. This program has one limitation, which is for the child of the family to be on the free school lunch program, or qualify for such. This Internet solution will be provided to those families for just under $10 per month, and also feature a $150 voucher for a new computer purchase, a Norton Security Suite for their current or new computer, and free digital literacy training access. Overall, the program is an amazing deal to those in a poverty stricken neighborhood, or those who are struggling through rough economic times and realize that they need Internet access, especially at a low price.
