Say a hearty konichiwa to Umeji Narisawa, a lively 99-year-old Japanese great-grandmother who can still thread a needle, dotes on her grandchildren, and plays Nintendo for several hours a day. Gaming is her daily routine, and she credits it for keeping her fingers strong and her mind sharp. Narisawa's love affair with the classic Nintendo Famicom(NES) started 26 years ago, after seeing how much fun her grandchildren were having with the original Bomberman. The surprisingly nimble grandmother has already beaten it for far too many times to count, and when she puts on her A-game, she even finishes Bomberman twice in just one sitting. Up to now she still plays, and even practices the time-honored tradition of blowing air to the cartridge, just before firing it up on her NES.
