Well, that didn't take long at all. Barely a day after a rumor appeared about Borderlands 2 launching in 2012, we get confirmation of the game. Gearbox Software has announced that Borderlands 2 is official and will launch sometime in 2012 or even early 2013. The game is being developed for the PC, PS3, and 360, same as the last one, but this time features an all-new cast of characters as you explore never-before-seen areas of Pandora. The game will feature all new skills, environments, weapons, enemies, and equipment, which should all come together to form "an ambitiously crafted story." Players will get to unveil new secrets and mysteries of the Borderlands universe while visting the new areas of the planet Pandora. It seems plenty more about Borderlands 2 will be featured in the new issue of Game Informer, but Gearbox did say that it will be coming out between April 2012 and the spring of 2013. At least we know that Borderlands 2 is real and will be shown at Gamescom 2011. So who all is excited to see more about it?
