Kingston has announced that it is jumping into the SATA 3 SSD market with the HyperX SSD. Falling under the same name as its flagship memory product, the HyperX SSD shouldn't disappoint. The HyperX is controlled by the latest controller from SandForce, and is available in 120GB and 240GB capacities. Both will be available as a standalone, or bundled with Acronis True Image, an external drive bay, a screwdriver, and a SATA cable. The standalone only comes with a 2.5" to 3.5" mounting plate. The SandForce controller allows for maximum sequential read and write speeds of 555MB/s and 510MB/s, respectively. The standalone drives are priced at $269.99 for 120GB and $519.99 for the 240GB. The bundles come in at $284.99 and $539.99.
