Elitegroup Computer Systems, ECS, has announced that all of its motherboards will now use solid capacitors around the CPU area. The new decision will allow for improved performance, while not putting much strain on the wallet of consumers. Solid capacitors are superior to electrolytic capacitors in several key areas. The solid capacitors feature 10% lower temperature, better heat resistance, and higher electric conductivity. By committing entirely to solid capacitors around the CPU, ECS should allow for higher performance, and hopefully higher overclocking.
