Pegatron Technology is reported to have received orders from Apple to provide 15 million iPhone 5 units with shipping scheduled for September 2011. The Taiwan-based notebook manufacturer, also known for providing notebooks to companies such as Asus and Acer, has previously expanded its infrastructure and manpower to accommodate the high demand for the previous generation iPhone. Suppliers are said to have begun delivering components to Pegatron to meet the expected September 2011 shipment. Although not yet publicly announced, it has been speculated that the iPhone 5 could be similar to the iPhone 4, with a few changes such as an 8MP camera resolution, dual-core processor power and an increased display size.
