Crucial today unveiled two of its latest memory series, due for release in Q3 later this year. First up is the Ballistic Tactical series, which will be available in DDR2 and DDR3 variants. The Tactical memory modules feature a black PCB, a grey heatspreader and a yellow casing. Next up is the higher-end Ballistix Elite series, consisting only of DDR3 models, and include tall black heatsinks, black PCBs, and onboard thermal sensors. Both new series will be available in many variants, including DDR2-800 (Ballistix Tactical only), DDR3-1600, DDR3-1866, DDR3-2000 and DDR3-2133, and will be available in September. Crucial did not disclose details regarding the pricing of the new memory lines.
