Portable Xbox 360 Gaming With Gaems G155
Console gaming systems were meant to rule the living room. You just slipped in the Gears of War disk on your Xbox 360 S connected to your high-definition TV, sit back on your couch, and you'd be good to go. But what happens if you've suddenly got the urge to play Red Dead Redemption while you're out of the house?
Gaems Inc. and CompuExpert addresses that concern with the G155 Mobile Gaming Environment System. What it does is that it packs in your Xbox 360, 360 S or PS3 Slim into a rugged carrying case, and as long as you've got a power source to plug it in, you'll be happily gaming. The system's cherry is the 15.5 inch HD LED 720p HDMI display, which should pump out reasonable visuals from your console. The system also comes well-equipped with external speakers, an audio jack, and adequate space to hold your controllers, power supply and cords. It almost looks like a cross between an oversized Panasonic Toughbook laptop and a bulky briefcase.
The degree of portability ends though when you talk about the weight: 8.6 lbs, or 3.9 kg, which is a great deal heavier than most entry-level gaming laptops. A look at the product's website reveals no batteries, so you've got to have an external power source to turn this on. But if those are minor niggles to you, you can pre-order the G155 for $299 at online outlets such as Amazon or Newegg.
