It does not appear to be a very good time to be a game developer or publisher, what with the PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment hacks, and now a new one joins the fray. The websites for Deus Ex and its publisher, Eidos, have been hacked with a wealth of personal information and code taken. It seems 9,000 résumés, personal information from about 80,000 registered fans of Deus Ex, and apparently a "src" leak. That "src" could translate to "source" though while it is unlikely the source code for Deus Ex: Human Revolution was taken, it is possible the source code for the Eidos website was. It is looking like this attack was done by the same group that brought down the PSN, and although the hacker group Anonymous claims no responsibilty, it appears there is in-fighting within the group that likely led to the attacks.
