Samsung Launches 13.3" Huron River-based Laptop

Samsung today launched its latest laptop, named the QX412. The new laptop is based on Intel's Huron River platform and packs in a 2.5GHz Core i5-2520M CPU along with 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive and a NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M 1GB memory card. On the outside the laptop features a 14" LED-backlit screen (1366x768) with a 1.3MP webcam, a DVD writer, a Gigabit ethernet port, a card reader, a USB port and a HDMI output. Connectivity is covered by 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0 support. The laptop features a DuraCase aluminum cover and is powered by both Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and a six-cell battery. It is worth noting that this laptop is the size of a 13.3" laptop although it has a 14" screen. The Samsung QX412 is available now in Europe for around US$1,370 (€950).
