Google is holding its annual I/O Conference today and there is sure to be plenty of news coming from it. One such item concerns the Android Market and its new service, movie rentals. That's right, the Android Market now has movie rentals and you can watch them on your phone, tablet, or computer. There are thousands of movies available to rent right now through the Market, and you just need a phone or tablet running Android 2.2 or higher to view them. Tablets will get the support bundled with the Android 3.1 update, while phones and others will get it over the next few weeks. The service works much like the recently announced rental business for YouTube and it even shares the amount of time available to watch on your computer. You get 30 days from the initial rental and just 24 hours from when you start watching it, but that should be more than enough for most people. It seems viewing it on the PC seems to be the best option right now since not every Android device has support for it, but you will be able to watch a rented movie on any of your devices before long.
