Cooler Master is preparing its latest chassis, the Silencio 550. The new mid-tower chassis is targeted at sound-conscious consumers, featuring pre-installed sound proofing material on the side panels. Cooling is provided by two 120mm fans running at 800RPM while connectivity is covered by a top I/O panel including both one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, audio ports and a SD card reader. The chassis includes three 5.25" drive bays, one 2.5" drive tray and seven 3.5" drive bays along with one hot swap HDD dock. The Silencio 550 is painted black on the inside and has a mirror-finished front panel. The new chassis measures in at 210x415x505mm and should available next week for around US$108 (€74.50).

Looks great but, glossy plastic? Really Cooler Master? Don't your HAF series, Storm series etc have enough plastic? Buying a case where the whole front is a black glossy plastic is a knick, scratch and fingerprint haven. WHY?! >
