Sony Ericsson has fully embraced the Xperia name for its smartphones as it has announced two new ones carrying that name. The Xperia Mini and Mini Pro are the two newest smartphones from SE, and both carry on the formfactor of the X10 Mini and Mini Pro. Each phone will be running Android 2.3 behind a 3" multi-touch, scratch-resistant screen. The screen features Sony's Bravia Engine with Reality Display, ensuring any movies or pictures you view on the Mini and Mini Pro will look the absolute best. Both phones have a 1GHz processor and HD video recording, with SE even touting the phones as being the smallest capable of 720p video recording. The difference between the two is that the Mini Pro has a slideout QWERTY keyboard to give you an easier time with text input as well as a front-facing camera for video calls. Both phones have a larger battery than its predecessor which SE claims gives it 30% bettery battery life.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini and Mini Pro will be available starting this August, though no price was mentioned.
