Gmail Contact Storage Rises
Though Google previously offered 10,000 contacts for storage on their servers with their Gmail service, it seemed as though users were running out of space and constantly asking for more storage concerning their business partners, family, and friends. The company has finally listened and raised the cap to 25,000, adding a whopping 15,000 contacts to the total storage amount. Along with the upgrade of total number of contacts was the individual contact storage file size limit, which was before at a messily 32KB. As of right now, the team over at Google has implemented a contact size four times that, and has put the limit at a decently sized 128KB. Business users mainly will rejoice over this, as many Gmail users just do not have more than 500 contacts in their address book, let alone 25,000, but an upgrade to any free service is almost always welcome.
