Every so often a game comes along from a relatively small company that generates a lot of hype from one trailer. Dead Island is one such game and its developer, Deep Silver, isn't exactly the most well-known game developer in the US. To help get its game to the Americas, a bigger company needs to come and distribute it. That is where Square Enix comes in, who has agreed to distribute and market Dead Island in North and South America when it launches later this year. This is good news for Deep Silver since Square Enix has a large marketing team to garner interest in Dead Island, not to mention great distribution capabilities. Dead Island is a zombie game set on an island resort, and it is up to you to survive by whatever means necessary.
Dead Island launches on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 later this year.
