Warner Bros. to Offer Movie Rentals Through Facebook Pages

There seems to be no end to how you can watch a movie on the Internet these days, but that isn't stopping some from exploring every possible option. Warner Bros. has announced it will begin testing a new service offering movie rentals through the movie's Facebook pages. That's right, you will soon be able to rent, or even purchase, a Warner Bros. movie directly through that movie's Facebook page. The test beings with The Dark Knight with more movies planned. You will be able to spend Facebook Credits to stream the movie on the page, with the rental costing 30 credits (roughly $3). Once you make the purchase, you will have 48 hours to watch the movie through your browser but you can pause and resume it later if you can't be at your computer for the entire duration at once. I know you're all wondering why and Warner Bros. explained that Facebook is simply the place to be. With everything the website offers, it seemed like this was only a matter of time and now Warner Bros. has got the ball rolling. It will be interesting to see how well it does and if other studios follow suit.
