Windows 8 Partially Leaked

Category: Operating Systems
Posted: 12:49PM

It is very early in the game to start looking at leaks of the next Windows Operating System, but it seems like the details are just starting to get out into the public media. Just recently, a screen shot of Windows 8 was leaked showing off not a whole lot, but giving a bit of information for what was there. The Windows task bar progress indicator is being updated to display more things within the Operating System such as hardware installation, and it also seem like there is more of a focus on the cloud now, as users can log in with their Windows Live ID. By doing this log in instead of the traditional one that consumers have known for years, Windows will set the profile picture to the one located on Windows Live, and of course update other things as well which are currently unknown. Rumors are also circulating of an eight minute installation time, in parallel with the name, and the leakings also suggest that there will be a rollback feature to allow users to rollback their copy of Windows 8 to the same state it was when they started their personal computer for the first time, in two minutes. Keep in mind however, that these are just rumors and it will be interesting to see what happens as time goes on in the development world revolving around the Windows platform.
