Greenliant has started sampling the industrial-grade variant of its NANDrive GLS85LS embedded solid state drive (SSD) series. The latest NANDrive SSDs are designed to operate at temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C, suiting demanding industrial applications. The NANDrive packs a SATA NAND controller and SLC NAND flash memory chips in a compact design, measuring 14mmx24mmx1.85mm, making it one of the industry's smallest SSDs

Bing Yeh, CEO of Greenliant Systems said that "Designers of industrial electronics are concerned about the lifetime of their products and how changes in technology will affect those products. NANDrive is an integrated SSD that addresses these concerns with robust wear leveling technology and advanced error correction code (ECC) algorithms. It extends the NAND flash lifetime and gives customers added protection against NAND flash supply issues."

The new NANDrives use a SATA interface, offering speeds of up to 39MB/s (write) and 50MB/s (read). The Industrial NANDrive variants will be available in 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities. Greenliant is currently sampling the Industrial NANDrives to select customers.
