OCZ is a leading manufacturer of solid state drives and power supplies, so when something new comes from out of its workshop, you know it will be a great performer. As such, OCZ is introducing its newest line of PSUs, the ZX series. The ZX series is designed to deliver high wattage output while being highly efficient so it is no wonder that this series boasts an 80Plus Gold certification. That means these units are going to be reliable for whatever system you want powered. The ZX series is 100% modular which allows you to connect only the cables you need and will help to eliminate excess clutter in your case. The ZX series comes in 850, 1000, and 1250 watt capacities and each one is 92% efficient at a typical load, hence the 80Plus Gold stamp. There is a single +12v rail, multiple connections for CPU, PCI-e, and SATA, 140mm ball-bearing fan, plus active PFC to help maintain stable power no matter what you are doing on your rig. OCZ even claims that each ZX PSU is ready to support three video cards, so there should be no limit on your SLI or Crossfire setup.

The OCZ ZX PSU line is backed by a five year warranty though no information was revealed on a launch date or price point.
