Xigmatek has released an updated version of its entry-level Asgard II case, the mid-tower Asgard III. The Asgard III series features nine tool-less drive bays (four external 5.25" and five internal 3.5"), thumb screws for easy side panel removal and a convenient opening on the motherboard tray to assist with CPU-cooler installation. The motherboard also has cable holders to enable effective cable management. The Asgard III includes one 120mm fan and the non-windowed version supports up to three additional 80mm, 92mm or 120mm fans on the side panel. The front panel features two USB 2.0 ports along with audio and microphone jacks. The series has a black exterior and interior, with orange highlights on the drive mounts. The Asgard III mid-tower case will be available in non-windowed, windowed and noise-dampening models, the latter being equipped with pre-installed noise dampening mats. The Asgard III series are available now from Caseking for approximately US$45 (€34.90) and $51 (€39.90) for the non-windowed and windowed models respectively, with the noise-dampening variants starting at $78 (€59.90).
