Patriot Memory is one of the leaders in memory products for computers, and now it is introducing a new product to its fold, the Javelin S4 Media Server. The Javelin will serve as the main hub for all your digital media while providing access to all the stored content from anywhere in your home. The Javelin S4 has four bays that will fit a 3.5" SATA or SAS drive with a total capacity of 12TB. That means you will be able to fit four 3TB drives in the Javelin to provide more than enough storage for all your media. The Javelin supports RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, as well as a hot-spare drive for more storage efficiency or redundancy. You can even add additional drives via the e-SATA or USB 2.0 ports to get even more space for your Javelin. The USB ports will even allow you to connect a printer to print off any photos you have stored. To connect to your network, Patriot included a Gigabit Ethernet port ensuring blistering fast network access to ensure smooth streaming of content. The Javelin is PC, Mac, and DLNA compatible, plus there is an integrated Apple iTunes server, Logitech Squeezebox server, and UPnP compatibility to enable connectivity to a wide variety of devices in your home. The Javelin can even be used as a backup device on PC and Mac, with support for Apple TimeMachine built-in. There is even an integrated BitTorrent client which is capable of downloading and managing torrent files.

The Patriot Memory Javelin S4 Media Server will be available at the end of February, though no mention was made of a price.
