ASUS has announced a new line of motherboards supporting the Sandy Bridge processors from Intel. The P8P67 and P8H67 are built on the P67 and H67 Intel chipsets, respectively. A key new feature of these boards is the DIGI+ VRM technology from ASUS. The voltage regulation technology allows for improved reliability, stability, and performance. This is accomplshed by cutting out the digital to analog conversion in the voltage regulation. The new motherboards will also feature the use of twin embedded co-processors, the Energy Processing Unit and TurboV Processing Unit. The processors will improve energy consumption. In addition to the previously mentioned boards, ASUS is also releasing updates to its popular Maximus and Sabertooth boards. Also seeing an upgrade from the new processors are a variety of notebook lines, now featuring Smart Performance and Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0. Two new models in the Republic of Gamers line, the G53Sw and G73Sw, will feature 3D technology.
