Micron announced a new line of solid state drives at another conference taking place in Las Vegas this week, Storage Visions. It will be marketed under the RealSSD line distributed by Crucial in both 1.8 and 2.5 inch form factors. The drive is the result of the partnership with Intel. The 25nm process that was used allows for higher data capacities. The drives will use the 6Gb/s SATA interface with read and write speeds of 415MB/s and 260MB/s respectively. They will be available in capacities of 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB with prices ranging from $110 to $825, and should be available in March.
