Sharkoon today released a value-conscious USB 3.0 flash drive, aimed to allow more consumers to adopt the faster USB 3.0 standard without sacrificing on performance. The new 16GB flash drive features a synchronized SLC NAND controller which enables read and write speeds of up to 130MB/s. It is worth mentioning that the USB 3.0 standard is completely backwards compatible with USB 2.0, albeit with slower read and write speeds. The drive weighs 12.4g, measures 68x21x9mm (LxWxH) and is finished in black aluminium casing. The flash drive, dubbed the Flexi-Drive Extreme Duo, is available now for approximately US$66 (€50).
