ZOTAC has launched two new AMD-based mini-ITX motherboards, the M880G-ITX WiFi and the 880G-ITX WiFi. The M880G-ITX WiFi is based on the M880G chipset and includes a built-in AMD Turion II Neo K625 dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz, making it the world's first AMD mobile-on-desktop platform. This is coupled with with ATI Radeon HD 4200 series integrated graphics, two DDR3-800 slots, six SATA 6.0Gb/s connectors and up to six USB 2.0 ports. The other model, the 880G-ITX WiFi is built on the 880G chipset and features an AM3 socket supporting CPUs with a TDP of up to 95W. This is backed by an ATI Radeon HD 4250 GPU, two DDR3-1333 slots, four SATA 6.0Gb/s connectors and up to eight USB 2.0 ports. Both variants feature one PCI Express x1 slot (occupied by WiFi card), two USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit ethernet, six-channel HD audio and 802.11n support. Outputs supported by both boards include HDMI, dual-link DVI and VGA (via an included adapter). The built-in ATI graphics solutions in both boards include DirectX 10.1 support, Shader Model 4.1 support, OpenGL 2.0 support and ATI Avivo HD technology, for a visually immersing entertainment experience. ZOTAC did not disclose any details regarding availability or pricing of the new mini-ITX motherboards, although I'd expect them to be available soon to take advantage of the increased holiday trading.
