BitFenix today introduced two new versions of its Colossus full-tower chassis, the Colossus Venom and Colossus Window. The Colossus Venom maintains the features of the original Colossus such as USB 3.0 connectivity and a secure storage compartment, but also enables consumers to choose between green or red lighting, simply by pushing a button. The Colossus Venom is based on a demo Colossus which included green lighting at GamesCom 2010. BitFenix decided to make the green variant a reality after receiving overwhelming support from its fans. The Colossus Window trades in the original Colossus' USB 3.0 support, PWM fan controller and LED switching for two extra USB 2.0 ports and as the name suggests, a clear side-window.
BitFenix Product Manager, David Jarlestedt went on to say "after releasing [the] Colossus, BitFenix fans from around the world offered their own personal suggestions on some new and interesting modifications for the full tower, and Colossus Venom and Colossus Window are the results of that feedback."
The Colossus Venom edition will be available in black (with red and green LEDs) while the Colossus Window will be available in black (with red or green LEDs) and in white (with blue LEDs). The Colossus Venom and Colossus Window will retail for approximately US$169 and US$149 respectively. BitFenix did not disclose any information regarding the availability of the new chassis.
