Cooler Master has a line of computer cases that have been well received, and for good reason too. When OCC reviewed both the HAF X and the CM 690 II Advanced, we found a lot to like with the HAF X earning an Editors' Choice award. Now Cooler Master has announced the results of collaboration efforts with NVIDIA with new limited edition versions of both the HAF X and CM 690 II Advanced cases. The HAF X has received NVIDIA SLI Ready certification and is recommended as a superior cooling chassis when installing up to three NVIDIA GTX 480 graphics cards in SLI.
"These new limited edition cases represent the culmination of our collective efforts. Cooler Master and NVIDIA engineers worked tirelessly to improve thermal designs in order to best cool NVIDIA GTX 480 graphics cards in a triple-SLI setup”, said Bryant Nguyen, Product Marketing Manager at Cooler Master, as he conveyed his excitement. "We look forward to seeing enthusiasts push the limits of their graphics cards within our cases."
The HAF X limited edition has a stylized side window along with new bold color accents and a NVIDIA SLI certified VGA fan duct equipped with a Blade Master industrial fan. These new features serve to enhance an already impressive list of features we saw in our review such as USB 3.0 support, 360mm liquid cooling support, huge 200mm+ fans and SATA hot swap bays. The CM 690 II limited edition also got new color accents and a custom side panel with window featuring NVIDIA claw logo detailing. Other standard features include a modular hard drive bay, large graphics card and power supply support and space for two 240mm liquid cooling radiators.
