During Computex, PowerColor and Bigfoot Networks partnered up to combine an HD 5770 with one of Bigfoot's Killer NICs. Now, it is VisionTek's turn as its Killer HD 5770 will be hitting shelves shortly. VisionTek's offering pairs an AMD HD 5770 with a Killer E2100 networking card to create a new hybrid model. The HD 5770 still has the 1GB of GDDR5 memory and presumably stock clocks for the core and memory. The ports on the card change a little, as you will find two DVI, one HDMI, and the Ethernet port to take advantage of the Killer NIC part. With this card, you should be able to get great gaming performance as well as great networking performance, so now your online gaming won't suffer due to a high ping time or latency. There is still a Crossfire finger up top so you should be able to pair this with another HD 5770 to get a huge boost to games. The NIC portion has a 400MHz processor which will help to minimize performance impacts due to any connection change, plus Bigfoot is throwing in its software suite to ensure you get the most lag-free gaming possible.
The VisionTek Killer HD 5770 should be launching early this month with an expected price of $199.99. Its a small savings compared to buying each one separately, but the combo card is a great alternative if you are short on PCI-e sockets.
