Dell to Move 25,000 Employees from BlackBerrys to Windows Phone 7

Dell is one of the companies making a phone that will run Windows Phone 7. That phone is the Venue Pro and will launch on T-Mobile USA. However, many of Dell's employees use a BlackBerry which is made by RIM. Now, Dell is going to move 25,000 employees from a BlackBerry to its own Windows Phone 7 phone. That 25,000 is roughly one-quarter of its total work force which is a pretty significant group getting the switch. The move is due in part to help Dell save some money since it will no longer have to pay for RIM's servers as well as to show its business partners that Dell is committed to smartphones. Dell is also expected to offer a similar switch to its Android smartphones, of which there are a few already out. Perhaps in the long run Dell can get all of its employees switched over to its smartphone, be it Microsoft or Google powered, just like how Microsoft is offering all of its employees a Windows Phone 7 phone.
