Yesterday, 2K Games and Gearbox Software announced that Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will include a free membership certificate for the "Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club". Among other things, like exclusive items, the First Access Club grants players early access to the Duke Nukem Forever playable demo prior to its public release.
The Borderlands: GOTY Edition includes the original game, as well as all four DLC that have been released since its launch, including the most recent one, Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. The DLC wll not be included on the game disc, but instead require you to download them using vouchers. Borderlands has been generally well received by both critics and users - the PC version of the original game has a Metacritic score of 81. There's even a rather lively discussion in our forums.
As for the early access to the Duke Nukem Forever playable demo, no date has been announced, with 2K Games merely stating that it will be out "prior to the retail launch of the game," which is slated for early 2011. Unsure if this game is for you? Check out the gameplay video posted yesterday.
