Gears of War 3 Delayed

Category: Gaming

Well, this is certainly a blow to the gamers out there. Not long after announcing that Gears of War 3 would see a release in April of 2011 comes this bit of news that the game has been delayed. Now instead of that April 2011 release it will come out in the Fall of 2011. What may be the cause for the delay? Well, if you're thinking its something to do with a development snafu or something like that, think again. Microsoft Game Studios is moving Gears of War 3 to the fall for no other reason than to make it the marquee holiday title. That's right, the game is being delayed so it can be the game to get this holiday season. Personally, I think that is a bone headed move since the summer time is usually pretty sparse on the game launch calendar and Gears of War 3 would have been a welcome title for it, but now it is being pressed into line for the holiday season. I can't say I see the logic in that but maybe Microsoft does. How do you all feel about this?

I think MS is a bunch of retards also and they wont spend any time polishing the game code.

I doubt they're going to sit there and watch the value of the game decrease as they delay it. They're simply going to add in the extras - multiplayer modes, finish off the DLC they were planning on and include it in the game, bug fixes, etc.

Some other dev will come along and piss on their parade by releasing an even better game.
