First seen during our Computex coverage, ECS has officially launched its Black Series P55H-AK motherboard for Intel's P55 platform. The P55H-AK marks the first Black Series motherboard with ECS' new black and white theme and I have to say it looks quite stunning. The motherboard will support all socket 1156 processors, even the unlocked ones, and users can make use of the M.I.B. X tweaker to obtain the biggest overclock possible. The P55H-AK also caters to the heavy gamers by including the NVIDIA NF200 chipset which will allow for full speed 3-way SLI. There is also support for DDR3-2600+ memory so you are really free to use any memory kit out there regardless of the speed.
The board supports USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps so it will be ready for any future components. For USB 3.0, you will find two ports on the rear as well as an internal header for connecting to the front panel USB 3.0 ports on your case. On the SATA 6Gbps front you will find a Marvell controller which powers two internal SATA 6Gbps ports as well as two external SATA 6Gbps ports on the rear. This gives you many options to connect those SATA devices, even eSATA ones. Cooling the whole board is a dual-heatpipe heatsink solution that wraps around the socket to help keep everything cool during overclocking or heavy gaming.
The ECS P55H-AK motherboard should be available now though no price was mentioned.
