Transcend has just announced its 4GB aXeRAM DDR3-2400 dual-channel memory kit which is being aimed at users of Intel's P55 platform. This 4GB, XMP-ready kit operates at 2400MHz and 1.65V which will outperform standard modules by 60% according to Transcend. Each 4GB kit contains two identically matched modules rated at 2400MHz with timings of 9-11-9-28 and operate at a voltage of 1.65. This gives the kit a theoretical memory bandwidth of 38.4GB/s. The aXeRAM kit is ideal for overclockers and gamers who are looking to take their system to the next level and still provide exceptional performance. The modules have an aluminum heatsink with cooling fins so the temperature should stay within reason while you are gaming or just obtaining the next big overclock. Each module is comprised of 128Mx8 high-quality DDR3 FBGA chips and PCBs that comply with JEDEC standards to help ensure maximum stability.
