Using the built-in speaker of most portable devices such as media players and phones to share tunes and video with friends leaves a lot to be desired. Even watching a video on your laptop can be frustrating as the sound quality is truly lacking. Driving a traditional set of speakers is generally out of the question for many reasons, not the least of which is portability. Choiix has come up with the Boom Boom speaker, measuring a mere 1.2cm thick. The speaker lid protects it during transit then doubles as a stand when playing music. It uses a standard 3.5mm audio cable to connect to your device and  utilizes your laptop's USB port to power four high sensitivity drivers to provide high volume, rich sound with a booming low pitch. It measures a mere 90×160×12 mm (3.5×6.3×0.47 inches) so it should be easy to pack up and take with you. Choiix did not provide any pricing or availability information at this time.
