iMac and Mac Pro Refresh Rumored to Include USB 3.0 and Faster FireWire
Rumored to be coming just in time for Apple's annual "back-to-school" promotion is an update to the iMac and Mac Pro lineup. Sources claim that the updated systems will include USB 3.0 as well as FireWire 1600 and 3200 signaling that the interface isn't willing to die just yet. Many had hoped that the next refresh might include Intel's Light Peak Interface, but it does not look like Apple will be able to implement that for at least another year. As far as Blu-ray is concerned, that looks to be another no go.
