SilverStone today announced the Nitrogon CPU cooler for the Intel LGA 1156 socket. The new cooler is low-profile and is designed as an entry-level heatsink replacement. The Nitrogon features a copper base and aluminum heatfins along with a 90mm cooling fan. The cooling fan can be adjusted using an onboard switch to either 1200-3000RPM or 1200-1800RPM (±10%). The cooler measures in at 93x36.5x93mm (WxHxD) and weighs a mere 310g. Although the Nitrogon bears an uncanny resemblance to the stock Intel heatsink, it is important to note that it is targeted as a replacement product for CPUs with a TDP of up to 95W. The Nitrogon NT07 series CPU cooler will be available soon for approximately US$20.
