Another book store has joined the eBook craze. Today Borders announced the launch of its own eBook store as well as eReading applications for iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad), Android, Blackberry as well as Mac and PC desktop clients. The books are published using the ePub format and/or Adobe PDF which make them accessible to a wide range of devices and gadgets. With the Borders eReader desktop and mobile apps you can:
- browse and buy eBooks at Borders.com, where you’ll find over a million titles, including a generous selection of free books
- search by title, author, topic, or keyword
- make quick and easy purchases
- access your eBook Library
- download eBooks for offline reading
- enjoy automatic bookmarking, print quality resolution, smooth transitions between pages and chapters, and customized fonts and type sizes
I know a while back when I polled OCC members on eReaders, the devices weren't too popular. However with Apple, B&N, Amazon and now Borders all set to battle it out in the realm of eBooks, it may be time we take another look at the devices. [Apple Related and TalkAndroid]
