Ever since I got a Google Voice account, I have found it extremely useful. The free text messages and number forwarding are great features. However, one thing I never imagined was a desktop client, but Google may be working on one. After purchasing Gizmo5, producer of VoIP software, it began to integrate Google Voice into the software. Tech Crunch was able to get its hands on a copy of the application and has posted a video of it in use. This service would actually be great for those travelling overseas. Google Voice doesn't work there, and using your cell phone in another country is rather expensive. Unfortunately, the people in charge at Google don't want to release it as they want to concentrate on web apps.
