Toshiba to Create Classmate Laptop
Intel has been designing computers for education for quite awhile now. These Classmate laptops have been a template for other manufacturers to help create their own version of educational laptops. Recently Toshiba announced its intention to create a version of these laptops for Japan which will be available in August. These new Japanese educational laptops will use the design from the fourth-generation of CM laptops which were shown at the CeBIT show in Germany this past March. Making use of Intel's N450 Atom processor, Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and a 10.1 inch touch screen which will rotate similar to a tablet notebook. This new leap forward for Toshiba is in line with the Japanese government's new policy to ensure that by 2015 elementary through high school students will have digital textbooks.
