It was announced today that the new HTC Evo 4G will be coming to the Sprint network. The phone will be available on June 4 for $199.99, and will require a new two-year contract. As with all smartphones these days, a data plan will be required, and will set you back $69.99 per month. Further wireless options in WiMax and using the phone as a WiFi hot spot are also available, but will cost you $10 and $29.99 per month, respectively. The phone will run the Android OS, and will feature an 8 mega pixel camera and the 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

I don't know why they just don't say that the EVO will cost min $79.99 a month instead of the mandatory $10.00 4G charge plus your $69.99 min monthly charge.

Customers are going to be pissed that there's an extra $10 for what they think is nothing.

One of my coworkers has the HTC HD2. It's a badass phone. The EVO looks to be just as awesome.

Already preordered. For what this is, that price increase is nothing. My previous 2 smartphones have each caused me to increasingly do more with my mobiles. (MotoQ, PalmPre) I expect more of the same with the EVO.
