Storage has never been considered as 'sexy', that is until solid state drives appeared and began causing a bit of excitement due to their potential for increased I/O when compared to standard mechanical drives. Solid states drives are also expensive, and while prices are dropping, the cost per GB remains way above that of standard drives. Still, SSDs have spiced up the storage segment and we have a review on the Corsair Nova V128 solid state drive. Western Digital has upped the capacity of its 10K RPM VelociRaptor drive to 600GB and priced it at $329 which is about what some 128GB SSDs cost these days, so which one would you choose?
