Photos have shown up on the A9VG forums of what some are speculating is a new Xbox 360 motherboard. Code-named Valhalla, the motherboard features a processor which combines the CPU and GPU of the 360 onto one chip. The motherboard is much smaller than the current generation, leading to rumors that an Xbox 360 Slim is on the horizon. The fact that Microsoft is currently seeking a motherboard design engineer adds fuel to the fire. Additionally, the new board lacks the hard drive port used by the 360, which would mean a new hard drive interface.

In my opinion there's no reason to release a slim version unless it comes with Blu Ray and a standard 2.5" SATA hard drive.

This is true, there is a new motherboard coming out with the new Xbox 360's, there is also rumors about a Xbox 360 slim, but as of yet they hold no real truth to them. also it won't be be distributed until sometime this fall, which is a long way off so anything can happen from now until then. this upgrade will also include project Natal possibly built in. as for the new hard drive port, thats a no, the interface will stay the same. where you get the idea that it would lack the hard drive port that it already has is beyond me.
