Adobe officially announced that its Flash Player 10.1 will be coming to the Android OS. This feature should be available in the first half of this year, and will only be available for Android at that time. Additionally, Adobe also announced that AIR will be coming to Android as well. AIR will allow applications to be developed once and be run on several different operating systems. My understanding is that it is essentially a program that runs on the OS that will allow you to run programs on it, sort of like a virtual machine. By developing for this platform, developers will be able to save on costs and get their products to more users. Research in Motion is also on board with AIR, and will be getting it sometime after Android.
