The ink's barely dry on a lot of the HD 5450 reviews as it's been less than a week since that card was released. AMD/ATI is back with another mainstream card that slots in between the HD 5450 and the HD 5670 and is slated to retail at around $75 - $80US. Built on the same 40nm process GPU used by the HD 5670 which means it has the same number of stream processors (400) but a lower 650MHz core clock. The HD 5570 also forgoes GDDR5 memory in favor of GDDR3 which, combined with the lower clock speeds, helps bring the typical power usage in around 40W. So what you get is a low-profile card with a single-slot cooling solution and AMD says you can probably expect to see passively cooled units from vendors in the future, which should draw the attention of HTPC builders.
