The SlingPlayer Mobile app, which allows users to view television streaming on their iPhone, has made its return to the iPhone. The app was originally removed after it was ruled to have violated the AT&T terms of service, and it was also an intense bandwidth hog. Sling Media made changes to the app that allowed it to stream video over 3G using less resources than it previously had. Also coming out of this announcement is the information that AT&T will soon publish a list of wireless network optimization requirements. This move is likely an attempt to provide relief to a network that many claim cannot support the iPhone.
