AMD have done it again with the launch of another 5xxx series card. This time its the HD 5670 mainstream graphics card which manages to bring DX11 to the masses at a price point right at the $100US mark. So what do you get in this mainstream card? First off there's the new RV830 GPU core based on the 40nm process. This should make it less expensive to manufacture and with the manufacturing issues of the TSMC 40nm chips hopefully a thing of the past, AMD should not have the supply problems that plagued the other 5000-series cards last year. Briefly, the HD 5670 core is clocked at 775MHz and has 400 stream processors. The new card uses a 128-bit interface to the GDDR5 memory which is clocked at 1000 MHz. The HD 5670 also manages to make do with the 75W provided by the PCI-e connection and needs no external power. Find out more about what this card offers by checking out the reviews below.
