Patriot Launches Valkyrie Dual Bay NAS

Patriot Memory has expanded its lineup of network attached storage devices to include the two-bay Valkyrie NAS device. In today's increasingly media-centric world the Valkyrie offers shareable storage, up to 4TB, along with multimedia streaming with built-in UPnP and DNLA support and can functions as an iTunes music server while also offering PC-less downloading via BitTorrent. Valkyrie also has features normally found on larger units such as user/group and folder management support, ADS Support as well as being able to act as an FTP and print server. The device is powered by a 500MHz processor and comes with 128MB RAM with 16MB flash. 10/100/1000 Ethernet and built-in support for RAID 0,1 and JBOD round out the package. Patriot did not release pricing or availability information but the Valkyrie is currently listed for pre-order on Amazon.com for $165US.
