Upon waking up today, I was made aware that my phone needed a firmware update. Just a touch of a button and the phone was on its way. Android 2.0.1 was released today, bringing several fixes and improvements to the mobile OS. The first thing I noticed was the new lock screen, just an aesthetic upgrade. Other features reported to have been updated are battery life and general stability. Incoming calls will also feature better audio, though I can not comment on that just yet. The issue with the camera auto focus has also been resolved. Now if only we could get some multi touch on the Droid without rooting.

I believe the Eris should be getting the firmware update as well. I'm not sure of the specific features being upgraded on that platform though.
